Then let me introduce myself to you. My name is Helen Worswick and I’m a native English-speaking communications professional with over 17 years of experience in internal communications, copywriting, editing and content management. I have been working as an interim internal communications specialist in the Netherlands for over 11 years – and have had a diverse range of clients over the years – ranging from banks to consumer electronics to online start-ups.
Born and raised in South Africa, I have a British passport and live close to Haarlem in the Netherlands. Before that I lived in Dubai, Germany and Switzerland and so in addition to my mother-tongue English, I also speak Dutch, German, Afrikaans and French. This means that I am well-acquainted with working for people from different backgrounds and nationalities, and also do translations from Dutch to English and German to English.
I have had the pleasure of working on a wide-range of projects and deliverables have included intranets, employee magazines, management communications, videos and internal events. In producing these I have done everything from project management, liaising with agencies, copywriting, preparing presentations and coaching company executives. In addition to doing the layout of these sites, I curate the collection, write blogs (in English and Dutch) and use social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram to promote these.
